Dr. Stephen Rioux has been a practicing physician for more than 20 years. After attending the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey for medical school he completed a one year rotating internship at the John F. Kennedy Hospital system in Stratford, New Jersey. He then completed a three year Family Medicine Residency at Underwood-Memorial Hospital and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he was Chief Resident. Subsequently, he practiced 20 years in the Emergency Department at Underwood-Memorial Hospital in Woodbury, New Jersey; obtaining a second Board Certification status in Emergency Medicine in 1996. As Aesthetic Medicine, a subspeciality recognized in Europe for over 20 years, became more popular in the United States, Dr. Rioux, realized that this was truly the field of medicine he enjoyed the most--satisfying patient's goals and desires with minimally invasive cosmetic procedures. Subsequently, for the past eight years Dr. Rioux has studied extensively with leaders in the Cosmetic/Aesthetic Medical field to become an expert in the use of Lasers, Botox and Dermal Fillers to bring exceptional results to his patients. He continually searches out the most up to date treatments that are effective, safe and affordable. He is currently in the process of obtaining Board Certification in Aesthetic Medicine--an achievement reached by only 500 physicians to date, in the United States currently practicing Aesthetic Medicine. Dr. Rioux is also a Fellow of the American Society for Lasers in Surgery and Medicine, American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine and The International Association of Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine.
